People who have already lost money can be targeted again by someone claiming to recover it. Treat unexpected recovery offers cautiously.
Watch the promise and the payment
The FTC warns about people who promise to recover losses in exchange for a fee or financial information. A claim to know your previous loss does not establish legitimacy.
Verify independently
Check who is contacting you through sources you found yourself. Do not accept a claimed relationship with law enforcement, a regulator, or a registry without verification.
Keep control of your accounts
Do not share your seed phrase, private keys, passwords, or remote access. A recovery offer should never require handing over control of your wallet.
Understand registry links
SARFUND is an external service with its own terms and claims process. A registry record or referral does not guarantee that funds will be returned. ScamReporter does not recover funds or automatically open a claim there.
