Company records should make the source of each claim clear. A report is an allegation, not a finding of fraud. We do not issue automatic safety scores or clear a company because it has no record.
1. Receive privately
Submissions enter an administrator-only review queue. They are not automatically published or sent to SARFUND.
2. Check the identity and evidence
Before publication, the editor should confirm the exact company name and domain, examine the account of events, check dated public sources, identify duplicates, and distinguish similarly named companies and impersonators.
3. Label the record
- User allegation: a reported concern that has not been independently established.
- Corroborated reports: an editor has documented independent supporting material. This is not a legal finding.
- Official warning: a linked warning published by a named regulator or public authority. The warning’s scope and date matter.
4. Publish a redacted summary
Remove private contact details, account numbers, identity documents, and unnecessary personal information. Link the sources, record the review date, and explain uncertainty. Publication remains an editorial decision.
5. Correct and update
Companies and readers can request corrections or submit a response at report@scamreporter.com. Include the record URL, disputed statement, and supporting material. Substantive updates should be explained in the record.
External registries
SARFUND is an external registry. Its records and claims are governed by its own policies. A link does not independently establish that a company is fraudulent, that an investigation is active, or that funds can be recovered.
Imported broker listings
The directory also contains entries imported from a supplied broker list. We cleaned names and malformed URLs, separated regulator pages from company websites, and grouped shared company domains while retaining searchable aliases. Shared social-media platforms are matched by profile, not treated as a single company.
A source link recovered from the file is labelled as supplied until its contents are checked. A general IOSCO or regulator search page is not a company-specific warning. Matched source statuses identify the type of source checked; they do not establish a court finding or guarantee the completeness of the record. Ambiguous entries are held out of the public import.
