This notice explains how ScamReporter handles information submitted through this website. For privacy requests, contact report@scamreporter.com.
What the reporting form collects
The form asks for a company name, optional website, incident category, payment method, approximate incident date, a description, optional country, and a contact email. A display name is optional. Avoid unnecessary personal or financial information.
How we use it
We use submissions to review reported concerns, contact you about your report, detect abuse, and prepare editorial records where appropriate. Consent to consider an anonymised public summary is a separate optional choice. We do not use report submissions for marketing.
Private storage and email
Reports are stored in the website’s WordPress database and restricted to administrators. Our hosting provider operates that infrastructure. An internal notification containing only the report reference is sent through our configured email provider. If you request a receipt, your email address and a reference-only receipt are processed by that provider. Email delivery is not guaranteed.
Publication and external services
Your original submission is not automatically public. Any public summary should exclude your private contact information. We do not automatically forward your report to SARFUND. Clicking an external link opens that service, where its privacy policy applies. Any future transfer of your submission would require a separate explanation and appropriate permission.
Abuse prevention and logs
The report form uses a temporary keyed hash of the connecting IP address to limit repeated submissions. It expires after one hour; the form does not store the raw IP address with your report. Hosting, security, and email services may keep their own operational logs. WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administration; the report form does not require a visitor account.
Retention and requests
We retain reports while needed for review, follow-up, or a documented legal or operational purpose. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of optional publication permission. We may need to verify that you submitted the report. Backups may retain older copies until their normal expiry.
Evidence safety
The form does not accept file uploads. Never submit passwords, private keys, seed phrases, identity documents, full bank or card details, or other people’s private information.
Market tools and news
Price data from Coinbase and news headlines from CoinDesk are fetched by our server. Converter amounts and currency selections are calculated in your browser and are not submitted to these providers or stored by the converter. When you choose to load a TradingView chart, your browser connects directly to TradingView, which receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details and may use its own cookies or storage. Its privacy policy applies. External news articles open on the publisher’s website.
